Travelling Team

The Lean Green Travelling Team is a fun way to share travel to and from work at the Princess Margaret Hospital. You share the journey with at least one other person by walking, cycling or driving with them. You can even mix up your commute by doing a combination of these modes.

Register from Thursday 1 July 2010.

download a Registration Form.
The first 50 people to register get a start-up pack with goodies to help with their commute!

Why share the journey?

  • Reduce your travel costs
  • Reduce the number of cars on the road
  • Reduce parking hassles
  • Increase your physical activity
  • Meet new people

Joining a Lean Green Travelling Team is also great for the environment; more people leaving cars at home means fewer greenhouse gas emissions.

How does a Lean Green Travelling Team work?

You let us know that you want to create a team, where you are travelling from and the way you want to travel i.e. drive, cycle or walk. Let us know the days of the week that you want to share the journey and provide us with your contact details.

We look at the registrations and match people together who either live in the same area or are on the same route to and from the Princess Margaret Hospital.  We put you in touch with these people and you sort out how you will share the journey.

The Lean Green Travelling Team is a pilot project for the staff of Princess Margaret Hospital (TPMH). If there is sufficient interest from staff working at other CDHB sites, the travel coordinators will expand the project early in 2011.

If you do not work in the CDHB and wish to car pool or walk or cycle to work with others, please contact travellingteam@cdhb.govt.nz .

All enquiries and registrations details will be kept confidential. The Lean Green Travelling Team support Smoke Free and recommends it for the benefit of all the participants.
